Makenzie Dale Hjermstad

Here I am heading to the hospital to be induced on Tuesday morning.
This was not what I had in mind as far as going into labor. I got up,
ate breakfast and hung out with Eric until we heard from the hospital that
they were ready for us.

Here I am hanging out in front of the hospital after receiving my first dose of cytotec.
I didn't imagine that I would be walking the hospital or sitting in the sun while in labor but
it made the day a great experience.
I ended up receiving a second dose that eventually caused my water to break

around 3:45 pm. I finally decided to get an epidural around 8:30 and by the time I
got it, it was time to push and Makenzie was born shortly later.

Makenzie Dale was born at 10:04 pm, May 12th. She weighed 5 lbs 15 ounces and is
18.5 inches long.

Here I am with her right after she was weighed! I was amazed at how tiny she was!

Finally figured the car seat out! She was not too excited about it!

5 Days Late

Mothers Day and still no baby! I'm scheduled to be induced on Tuesday if she
decides to be stubborn and not come sooner. I have been going for lots of walks
and even though I have had more small contractions, it looks like Tuesday the
12th will be the day!
